I want to rewrite BBC’s Merlin as a musical using Heather Dale’s Arthurian themed songs. The prologue would be Gwen singing “Miles to Go” to Lance. “Kingsword” would be sung when Arthur pulled Excalibur from the stone, and so on. The finale would be Morgana singing “Tarnished Silver” as Arthur died: “Sleep, my tarnished silver, let me dull you once again and let our battle end…”
I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.
I find it odd that I stopped shipping Arwen once it became canon. I think it’s because Gwen seemed to become less of her own character, only “Arthur’s love interest”.
So I really would like to know how Leon is still alive. If I’m not mistaken, he was the first to volunteer to fight Kilgharrah in The Last Dragonlord and he was burned and killed with the other knights. The only two to return were Merlin and Arthur, did I miss something?
I think Arthur’s hair looks the best the way it was styled in episode one. The backs was fluffed out on his neck so you could see the little tufts on either side of his neck from the front and it was much more mussed than it is in later episodes. I like it much better that way than when it’s neat.
I hope the writers stay true to their word about the development of Merlin’s character. To be honest, that’s what I want the most out of Series 5. More than Merthur, more than a reveal, even - as much as I love him already, there’s just so much room for more development! I’m really excited to see how they decide to do it. (And a little terrified, of course, but let’s stay positive.)
