In the ‘Sword in the Stone’ they managed to kill of two of the most important characters in ‘Merlin.’ Agravaine, who nearly all of us hated, and Isolde, who we all loved. Those two characters united the fandom; it hurts for them to be gone.
I was angered by Merlin in S4E12 because after all what Gwen went through to warn him about Morgana’s next attack on Camelot; he didn’t manage to even keep an eye on uncle Aggy let alone use his great power to prevent it from happening and they were all taken by surprise! I know I should beat the writers.
I feel like the only person in this fandom who actually liked Agravaine and was massively pissed off when he died so suddenly. He could have been so interesting to work with, but sadly, the writers never bothered to give him any backstory or explain his motives. It’s a shame, Nathaniel Parker did such a good job and some scenes with Agravaine and Morgana really broke my heart…
The people of Camelot are blatantly unobservant. As much as I love Merlin, how is it not posswible to notice an evil person in the kingdom. Morgana just lived and breathed smirky moments, and Lancelot was dressed head to toe in black. Don’t even get me started on Agravaine. At Arthur’s coronation, he was the only one in black. But no, that’s not questionable is it?
