• No character, ship, fandom or show bashing. Criticism is allowed, but blatant hate is not.
  (e.g. “I don’t like X because X is a brash and mean person” would be allowed whilst “X is an idiot” wouldn’t.
• If your confession is strikingly similar to one that’s been done, I won’t repeat it. I have a horrible memory though, so it’ll probably show up anyway.

There are three methods of submitting:

• Text: Can be submitted through the submit box or through the ask. These will be done and published in order. (So basically, someone who submitted a text confession last week will get theirs up earlier than yours).
• Pre-made Graphic: Is whatever graphic you choose WITH THE TEXT ALREADY ON IT.  Please leave “merlinconfessions | tumblr” somewhere in the graphic. These will get bumped up.
• Cap & Text: Give me a cap and the text and I’ll put the text on for you. These will show up the same way the text submissions will.
• When I close the ask, I usually close all submissions except for the Photo option to let Pre-made Graphics in. If you submit a text submission through the Photo option while the ask and other options are closed, I will delete it.
• Please specify if you want your URL mentioned. Text and Cap & Text submissions will be credited: “Suggested by [URL]” and Pre-made Graphics will be credited: “Submitted by [URL]”. If you don’t specify, I’ll assume you want to be left anonymous and only Pre-made Graphics will be credited “Submitted by Anon”.

What is the difference between “admin”, “co-mod” and “stand-in”?

The admin makes and publishes confessions on a regular basis and also manages the blog (e.g. layout, questions, etc.). The co-mods make and publish confessions on a regular basis. The stand-ins substitute when needed if the admin and/or co-mods are incredibly busy.

Do you need any help running this blog?

Not at the moment.

How often do you close the ask?

I’ve scheduled it to be every Monday (Australian time), although I’ll probably forget more often than not. I also close it whenever two or more mods are not available - I’ll inform people of that before it happens.

How do you edit your caps?

I’m not sure about Basilia and Tristan, but I just play around with the curves and selective colour layers until it becomes pretty. Occasionally I use PSDs.
